The Wall Pitching Drill teaches players to lead with their hip when going for a pitch.
A wall is needed for this drill. The player should get set up next to the wall standing 6-12 inches away.
- The player is going to perform a windup and leg lift, keeping their focus and eyes on the wall.
- Leading with the hip, the player should fall into the wall.
Nothing should be touching the wall except the leading hip. The player’s eyes should still be focused on the wall preferably finding one spot to focus on.
