The Off the Wall Pitching Drill is great for learning and practicing how to follow through with the pitch properly. This drill helps those that are struggling with falling off the mound by building up muscle memory.
Stand in ready position next to a wall, fence, or L-screen. The player should be 6 to 12 inches from the wall facing away from it. This drill can be done dry without throwing a ball.
- The player will do a dry run at 75-80% their normal pitching speed.
The player should do this move without falling into the wall. This will build up muscle memory over time.
