The 4X Momentum Drill allows players to focus on getting around the ball and using the right, left, field, right, left, throw method.
Take 8 cones or markers and make two lines with them in front of the player. Each line should be staggered and in a triangular shape. The player gets setup behind the line of cones. 4 balls are added in front of every cone that is in front of the player.
On the coach’s mark, the player should run around the first cone to their right, field the ball in front of the next cone, and throw it or drop it. The player will then get setup again and repeat the same routine with the next set of cones. Players should focus on footwork here using the right, left, field, right, left, throw.
