The Touching the Front Corner Drill allows players to practice the proper technique for rounding first base.
Setup
Players should line up halfway between home plate and first base.
Drill Instructions
- On the coach’s mark, players will begin running to first base.
- Players should get to first base, making sure to touch the front corner of the base.
- Runners then make their way to the back of the line.
- Runners can continue running and touching the corner of the base until the drill completes.
