Practice week 3: Day 1 & 2
Baseball station rotations splits players into different three different groups, keeping them engaged and rotating through hitting, fielding and baserunning drills. If you have determined who your pitchers and catchers will be, this week you should designate time to discuss fundamentals, strategy and expectations during the warm-ups. During fielding stations, give each pitcher and catcher time to man those positions.
These practice plans are an outline and flexible. Change however you see fit to your coaching philosophy.

Tip of the Day - 2 Minutes
Throwing Warm-Ups - 10 Minutes
Have players pair up with a partner to complete the throwing warm-ups.
(Pull pitchers and catchers aside and have them play catch together. Explain fundamentals and expectations during this time.)
Now that your team knows which drills they should be doing from week 2, you can trust them during station rotations. If you have assistant coaches, split them up to help with each station. If you don't, you will have to put a player in charge fo time management for the hitting and baserunning stations, while you coach fielding.
Group 1: Hitting Station - 20 Minutes
The purpose of these hitting drills is to keep players moving and engaged. Have players make 10 solid swings per drill to ensure they get through each of them, and have them continue to rotate until the time is up.
Group 2: Fielding Station - 20 Minutes
The purpose of these baserunning drills is to teach your players to be aggressive, but smart on the base paths. Smart baserunning will put more base runners in scoring position and reduce blunders.
(Ensure pitchers and catchers spend some time fielding these positions along with the other positions they may play.)
Group 3: Baserunning Station - 20 Minutes
The purpose of these baserunning drills is to teach your players to be aggressive, but smart on the base paths. Smart baserunning will put more base runners in scoring position and reduce blunders.
